He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI, and later completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Michigan. He has been a Diplomate of the American Academy of Ophthalmology since 1983.
Dr. Cichowski is an experienced and well-rounded medical eye doctor, having practiced both medical and routine ophthalmology for over thirty years. He is well-known to his Whidbey Island patients and continues to see new and returning patients in Coupeville as part of Cascadia Eye.
Dr. Cichowski has dedicated himself to serving patients both locally and around the globe. He routinely takes medical mission trips to provide sight to those in need, and has worked in Kenya, the Philippines, and many other places over the years. In his spare time, Dr. Cichowski can usually be found fishing or crabbing in the Puget Sound. He and his wife Jan also enjoy spending time with their four children and five grandchildren.
