Dr. Janet Barrall graduated from Stanford University with degrees in biology and psychology, and went on to graduate with honors from the University of Washington Medical School, where she also completed her ophthalmology residency. Dr. Barrall completed a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at the University of Minnesota. She has practiced in the Seattle area for over twenty years, most recently at a major Seattle medical center.
She is board certified in ophthalmology, and is honored to have been selected as a board examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology. She has been listed multiple times in America’s Best Doctors, and the Best Doctors issues of both Seattle Magazine and Seattle Metropolitan Magazine.
Dr. Barrall joins Cascadia Eye with specialization in the eye diseases of adults with eye muscle problems, and all eye diseases of children. She enjoys all aspects of adult eye care, including cataract, glaucoma, and macular degeneration, and specializes in the specific problems of children. She sees patients in both the Mt Vernon and Stanwood offices.
Dr. Barrall is excited to practice in the Skagit Valley; she and her husband were partners in a manufacturing business in the valley and are pleased to return. Dr. Barrall and her husband enjoy gardening, travel, and boating. They have also traveled overseas to provide eye care in developing countries, and hope to do more in the future.
