Dr. Nannette Crowell, a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, established her solo ophthalmology practice in Sedro Woolley in 1985, which has grown steadily into the current Cascadia Eye.
After attending Walla Walla College and completing her undergraduate degree in dietetics at Loma Linda University, Dr. Crowell continued at Loma Linda University for medical school, internship, and ophthalmology residency. Although a very good surgeon herself, Dr. Crowell found her real passion was in connecting with her patients on a one-to-one level during her routine exams, medical eye visits, and follow-ups. She chose to leave surgery behind, and instead found other gifted surgeons – who loved what they did – to join the practice with her. This choice to focus solely on long-term care has paid off for her; she has treated loyal patients for over 25 years, including watching young ones grow up into adults, and finds these “lifetime” relationships to be the most rewarding part of her practice.
Among her expertise in a variety of medical eye issues, Dr. Crowell has a special interest in the treatment of dry eye syndromes. She also supervises the medical grade skin care treatments of our aesthetic clinic, Science Based Beauty, and performs medical BOTOX® injections. She is available for exams and consultations in all three Cascadia Eye clinics.
Dr. Nannette Crowell, M.D.
In the past, Dr. Crowell has given lectures on healthful cooking and nutrition, including co-teaching a vegetarian cooking school. She continues to enjoy developing her own gourmet recipes at home. She loves painting – her watercolors are featured in Skagit Regional Clinics’ main building and on the walls of Cascadia Eye – and dancing with the local Scottish Country Dancing club. She and her dentist husband, Dr. Rodney Brandt, live in Burlington and have three adult daughters.
