This is an update for the annual Cascadia Eye Run to Fight Blindness event on August 28th. For full information about the event, including an online registration form, go here.
NEW FOR 2016: for the first time, we are adding a way for run participants to collect donations on behalf of Eyewitness Missions. And the participant who collects the most donation dollars wins an awesome prize!
Runners – how do you make this happen?
Step 1: register for the run either with our web form or by printing a paper form: Eyewitness Run Registration 2016. When you register, be sure to check the box that says “Yes, I want to collect pledges! Please add me to your donation page.”
Step 2: Our Fun Run coordinator, Heather Knudsen, will add your name to our “Sponsor your runner” page. Sponsors will be able to click on your name and donate via credit card.* (You can also collect donations by check or cash and bring them to one of our locations).
Step 3: Get your pledge card. Either pick one up at any of our locations or print your own here:
Run Pledge Form 2016. Every time you get a pledge or donation in any form, be sure to mark it on the card!
(Images below are provided as an example of the pledge form, available at all 4 Cascadia Eye locations as a card. You can download a printable version in the link above.)
Step 4: Turn in your pledge card (again, to any of our locations) by the day of the race. The card with the most pledges for Eyewitness Missions (in dollar amount) will win two passes for a 3.5-hour whale watching AND a pair of high-end Oakley sunglasses!
*If your name does not appear as a clickable item in our shop within a few days of your registration, please email Heather Knudsen at firstname.lastname@example.org.
