Sunday, August 23rd was our Cascadia Eye Run to Fight Blindness. Previously we’ve hosted runs to support St. Jude Children’s Hospital, but this was our first year supporting EyeWitness Missions, the nonprofit founded by eye surgeons to fight reversible blindness around the globe. (We wrote about this great organization previously, too.) We are so excited to support a cause so close to our hearts! This year, we were able to raise over a thousand dollars in support of EyeWitness. We hope to grow every year!
The run was great fun – a real challenge for our 5k AND 10k participants due to a nice, steep hill. Young and old, from all walks of life – our fearless runners were amazing! Take a look at the gallery below:
