Meet Steven Turpin, OD, who is joining Cascadia Eye in mid-July. He comes to us with high qualifications and specialized training; we are excited to add him to our team!
He graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon with distinction, and received a number of different honors, including the Gas Permeable Lens Institute Award for Clinic Excellence in the field of gas permeable lenses. After graduation, Dr. Turpin completed his residency at Pacific University, specializing in Cornea and Contact Lenses, as well as having a background in managing cataract post-operative care and treating eye disease.
In addition, Dr. Turpin has a passion for research, earning a Master’s degree in Vision Science concurrently with his optometric degree. His areas of interest include myopia prevention and control in children, use of tinted lenses in migraine sufferers and patients with traumatic brain injury, and specialty contact lens design.
We are delighted to add his specialization and knowledge to the Cascadia Eye family–a perfect fit for our goal of providing for everything eyes. He will see patients in Mount Vernon, Stanwood, Anacortes, and Coupeville.
