Understanding Your Insurance

It can be confusing to know how to manage your insurance coverage. Cascadia Eye’s committed and caring revenue management staff are happy to bill your primary insurance company for you. We can also give you an estimate of your benefits, so you’ll have a better idea of what your insurance may or may not cover. In addition, we can also provide you the necessary information so that you can bill any secondary coverage you may have.
When we quote you benefits, this is only an estimate of your coverage and not a guarantee of payment. We relay the information given to us by your insurance company. This information is not always accurate. Consult the benefits information that you receive from your employer for more detailed information. When your insurance company processes the claim, they may pay differently than what they initially stated. You are ultimately responsible for any charges.
Here are just a few of the plans we can bill for you:
Vision Service Plan (VSP)

Cascadia Cares Program
Cascadia Eye has opted out of the state Medicaid-DSHS-Healthy Options eyewear program, and instead offers our own public service eyewear plan called Cascadia Cares.
Cascadia Cares* gives patients a much better selection, higher quality, and more stylish frames with single vision, bifocal or progressive lenses (which the state plan doesn’t offer). Since we are able to process these at our own local lens center, patients can find better eyewear much, much faster, offered at a crazy-low charge of $60 per pair.
* Some complicated prescriptions might not qualify. This offer cannot be combined with other offers. Only those who can prove eligibility for the state plan qualify for the Cascadia Cares plan.
Financial Assistance
Here at Cascadia Eye and Cascadia Surgical, financial considerations should not be an obstacle in obtaining the eye care you deserve. We do not want anyone to go without needed care because of finances. If you need care and you do not feel you can afford it, please call our office or email us at privateaccounts@ncascade.com regarding our financial assistance program. Our goal is to make eye care, including refractive surgery and other higher priced eye care needs, affordable for any budget.
